Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Celebration

Over 130 people attended the Memorial Hall on Monday, 4 June 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  Thanks to a massive team effort by the Memorial Hall Committee, the Women's Institute and other helpers who provided a fantastic afternoon tea of sandwiches, scones and an amazing selection of cakes.  Tea and coffee was served throughout the afternoon and Linda Wain provided children's entertainment.  Some great community singing included Land of Hope and Glory, Jersusalem and the National Anthem.

Derbyshire Dales District Council kindly gave a grant of £100 towards the event and Mr & Mrs Parker kindly donated 4 dozen eggs.  Thanks also to Bradwell's Dairy Ice Cream who donated tubs of ice cream for the children.  A big thank you to everyone who attended.  We hope you all enjoyed the day and thank you for your support.
